FINAL Weekly Comment (33)

1. The thing I liked most about this class is that it's a small class, and it's easier to get some individual attention when needed. I liked how we learned the basics of everything and got a taste of what real schoolwork is like.

2. The thing I like least about the class is I only get to spend 2 hours a day instead of the full eight. I'd much rather be in this BOCES class all day than to go to high school for things I'm not going to major or minor in.

3. What I would change or do differently is I would comb over every finished project and fix everything to make it better and more presentable. I would take what was said during critiques and do everything I could to make my projects better.

4. I liked that we were able to join NCCC classes and learn what college can feel like when stressed and busy. It was a good way for us to see what college professor's are like and how much wok we can get from just one class. I like that I was also able to take my class online so I could still go to BOCES every day of the week.

I hope that everybody succeeds at what they strive for. Have the time of your life and don't forget the good times you've had.

internet meme

An internet meme is something that someone posts and you check out. The post could be a video, a link, or an image that you look at. It could be something funny, interesting, stupid, random, pointless, but you still check it out. A meme is "used to describe a catchphrase or concept that spreads in a fast way from person to person via the Internet." If you're talking to your friend and you show them something or say something, and they pass it on to other people on the internet it becomes a meme. Quizzes that you might put on your Myspace and your friend sees it and then does it is and posts it on their Myspace is a meme.

what kind of friend are you?

lie detector tests are now portable!

We all know people who lie. Sure, there are people who omit the truth, people who keep secrets. But how about those who don’t even blink when asked direct questions?

Employers and law enforcement use polygraphs as a screening tool, but now, if you have about $400 to spend, you can engage this service, too.

Anyone who’s ever watched a police/crime procedural TV show — such as “CSI” or “Law & Order” — is familiar with the idea. This is not new technology. It’s been around for more than a century.
