Weekly Comment (28)

this week i worked on editing the weaving video by logging and capturing to organize all of the footage we got from going to NT.
this week what frustrated me was sometimes the batch capture didn't work.
i'd like to learn more about organizing to make it a lot neater and easier to work with all of the clips.
what made me happy was today is my last day of capturing!
...until me and John have to go back to NT and get more footage :(

PASADENA, CALIF. -- Two technologies developed by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory have been selected for the Space Foundation's 2008 Space Technology Hall of Fame. Judges for the nonprofit foundation chose ArterioVision, a software that helps better diagnose heart disease, and Petroleum Remediation Product, a powder made of beeswax microcapsules that cleans up oil spills in an environmentally-friendly way.

lie detector tests are now portable!

We all know people who lie. Sure, there are people who omit the truth, people who keep secrets. But how about those who don’t even blink when asked direct questions?

Employers and law enforcement use polygraphs as a screening tool, but now, if you have about $400 to spend, you can engage this service, too.

Anyone who’s ever watched a police/crime procedural TV show — such as “CSI” or “Law & Order” — is familiar with the idea. This is not new technology. It’s been around for more than a century.
